i really like this collage that i saw in a berlin art gallery. i know its pretty simple, but thats what i like about it. it looks like some poor character has been chopped up and stuck up there forever.
these cheeky owls were the bain of my life a couple of months go. i was asked to make 33 of them for a class of kids, half of them are naughty pirate owls and half are pretty, big hearted owls. guess which ones went to the boys and which ones went to the girls...
they are made out of colourful felt, big buttons for eyes and some finishing touches of bows and pirate swords. x

i like making my friends gifts for their birthdays a) because its a very personal thing to do and b)because im a bit of a cheapskate, it has been said. x

a few photos of berlin street art. a very amazing city.

this is one of my ceramics pieces from my final major project at college a couple of years ago. the brief was to show the wild, harsh side of the sea, with rustic textures, images and text and to contrast it with the cheerier side of the sea; seaside holidays, fun at the beach and tacky cafes and shops.

casio craft. x

some pages out of my journals.most are just scribbles of ideas and things ive seen, lists, or photo's of my travels in new york and bulgaria. x

i have been busy, busy, busy making more heart shaped brooches and these bright aeroplane beauties, ready for the Ruby Groove gig at Night & Day on july 17th. i think they will be about £3/4. come along! x

this is my 'inspiration wall'. at the moment there is work up there from an amazing embroiderer called Tilleke Schwarz, a very inspiring ceramic artist from Manchester called Bethan Lloyd Worthington (though it looks like bear hasnt taken a shining to her) and a french collage/illustrator who i cant remember his name for the life of me. x

a few months ago i made some pretty party bags for a friend's little girl's birthday. they were a contrast to the normal cheap, unhealthy, unenvironmentally friendly party bags you usually get at kids parties and im pretty proud of them. they were for 12 kids and it took a looong time making them. they each had a hand made item inside, a hand made star cookie and creative play items such as seeds or wooden cooking toys.
